Voters understand that pregnancy can't be legislated...there are a million things that could affect a healthy delivery, even for a planned pregnancy. So a ban at any point is utterly unacceptable.

Unplanned pregnancies present their own issues, even if rape or incest weren't factors.

In states where abortion bans have passed, gynecologists and obstetricians are fleeing rather than face legal jeopardy for exercising the current standard of care. This leaves all women with fewer options for all healthcare.

And, of course, there are already well-funded campaigns looking at ways to ban IUDs and birth control pills.

Complacency should be long gone...the GOP is hell-bent on exercising domination, and there are organizations, judges, and a partisan SCOTUS ready to run the same playbook as Dobbs on a laundry list of issues, including gay marriage, freedom of religion, public education, etc, etc.

There is no such thing as a "moderate" abortion restriction. They are ALWAYS extreme measures to control women's bodies, and nothing else. Any pseudo-religious horse manure surrounding the idiocy is immediately and completely destroyed by the lies they tell when trying for those restrictions.
