When one political ideology always considers themselves right and the other side always wrong that leads to tyranny. In religious circles it's called a cult and in economics it's called a monopoly. And that is brought about when there is not a free exchange of ideas. I subscribed to the Unpopulist to broaden my spectrum of thinking but it seems more like an indoctrination program.
I had subscribed because am old friend of mine posted on here, a post that has been proven to be an utter joke. Alas, I expected the folks at the unpopulist to be somewhat level-headed. But alas, I get proven wrong time and time again.

"We need to open the borders because the poor people who live in hardship elsewhere." That's an emotional appeal that people advocate for. It's very anti-intellectual.

Populism is essentially anti-intellectual.It does not propose solutions, it only appeals to prejudices.
