If it wants to stop being viewed as a culture warrior, it should return to a boring docket with less sexy but more important cases in its new term
The Federalist Society and their billionaire sugar daddies didn’t spend all those four decades and millions of dollars for boring dockets.
It’s the “YOLO” court - you only live once! (“Let’s do it and we’ll be legends!”). I don’t think being circumspect and judicious is in their DNA.
If the Justices were trying to remain "circumspect and judicious," the US could still have segregated schools.
Not that we don't still have them, but at least they are not strictly along racial lines. ;-)
