I appreciate the thoughtful analysis. I would note 2 observations: 1) Trump had twice been prosecuted (albeit in civil matters) by the NY AG, who forced a closure of Trump University and Trump Foundation, with attendant fines. There was no societal uproar, and 2) Alex Jones is a multimillionaire, with a rabid fan base (as well as a pro-insurrection instigator). His trial has not caused his base to riot in the streets.

It's not that I underestimate the Maga reaction, but I think we can overstate its power, as well. As Trump's venality and criminality continue to be revealed, his support will continue to erode around the margins. There will be violence, but a mob of hundreds is far different than a mob of thousands.
