This sort of thing illustrates why it's become impossible to actually discuss issues with supporters of these actions. They just recite "but immigrants break the law" as a mantra. If they had an interest in law, they'd care whether the enforcers are following the law, but they show no interest in that question. It's just a word they like to use to justify violence against those they hate.

For what it's worth, doesn't the funding fight also show that Ds think the same thing, though? At some point, they know full well they'll take less than the full amount they've asked for. Heck, they're already asking for less than natural rights demand. So they, too, are engaged in horse-trading our rights away.

Arresting and imprisioning US citizens? Shooting citizens with impunity?

All arrests of citizens were for interference with a law enforcement operation or refusing to ID themselves during a LE operation. Both established law.

Killing with impunity? Good assaulted a LE officer with a deadly weapon.

Anyways, it was interesting to see your anti- justice system rant.

By the way, when exactly did the comments on this site get overrun by illiberals, so that instead of thoughtful discussion, we now have liberals and illiberals shouting at each other on every post?

So far as I'm concerned, people who supported a violent coup should never again be taken seriously when talking about crime, the rule of law, any of it. Especially when they are choosing an unfree, militarized society, with regular "show your papers" type encounters (people who once blabbed about "states rights" - whose ideological forebears supposedly fought a war over them) out of a fear that people might be committing a misdemeanor and thus must be rooted out and, preferably, sent abroad to be tortured.

I have no interest in being lectured on crime, either, by those who have no respect for the rule of law. Who think it is fine to threaten violence against judges. Who support a man who, just today, demands "his" justices vote "his" way, "for Republicans" as he puts it, not the way the law happens to fall.

Liberals used to cheer when people like that said good things, and disagree when you said bad things. But we are no longer deceived; we know that the good things theysay are lying doublespeak and there is no overlap in values.

Time to reclaim the constitution and reimagine politics for a democratic scoiety

Why do the Left CONSISTENTLY choose the rights of criminals over free citizens?

And this is not only a US only phenomenon, it's happening in every 'democratic' country in the world where the Left have power. It's so obvious that they are doing it in concert with each other, because they have a hidden agenda that they only reveal one move at a time.

The public now, for the most part, see through all of this, realize that the Left has created most of these problems that the Right need to solve and clean up, and all of the kvetching is starting to fall on deaf ears.

That's such an inaccurate statement, that I don't know even where to begin. First, if they were only deporting criminals, no one would be complaining. They don't have enough "only criminals" to deport. Because most immigrants do not actually commit crimes, they are deliberately trying to maintain a low profile.

But in one year, we've had 3 US citizens murdered by ICE and maga likes to act as if these innocent people, a poet and mom of 3, a VA nurse, a 22 yr old student - were domestic terrorists.

Maga also choose to feel these innocent people got what they deserved for protesting or being in the way. What if it were one of Maga? You guys would be going absolutely bananas.

You all talk as if the Left is violent, I just don't see it. Most of the violent incidents are on the right. We also lost Melissa Hortman last year and her husband (and dog!) to a right wing extremist.

I'm not going to pretend even for arguments sake, anything different. One of these deaths, the student, was another traffic incident, (last March) that we aren't hearing about until now.

This administration LIES constantly. Seeing glee on racist men's faces doesn't solve our problems. Stephen Miller is dangerous.

All of that rage misdirected at Democrats, as if somehow we were all the problem. You do not seem to realize most people are in the middle somewhere, only people with extreme beliefs are extremists. Hence the word. The WOKE stuff was nothing but exaggerated BS that Fox exploited for Trump and republican benefits. Their snideness isn't helping the American people now is it?

And I totally disagree with your last sentence, the entire public sees through MAGA's agenda now. Project 2025, they are following it to a T. Most Americans do not want to live in a dictatorship, why would you? Please explain it to me. Most Americans are scared at the damage he's already done to us domestically and internationally. The American people want these nut jobs out of office now.
