almost as offensive as Witkof's reference to Putin as a "humanitarian" . How we have fallen.

Even funnier would be referring to Zelensky and his regime as ‘democratic.’

Marco Rubio is an ignorant, ambitious thug, with a surprising predilection for mean spirited cruelty. We have learned this about him. Let's not forget that--along with his failed "Hands" jokes.

Fighting heroically for one’s freedom should not be described as sacrifice.

Sacrifice involves giving up something of value for something of lesser value.

The Ukrainian people are being sacrificed by our own US president.

His constant lies and his current choice of Russia over Ukraine indicates to me that HE is no hero and likely has no values whatsoever.

We live in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural society. In CHICAGO, you can hear many languages and accents. You can enjoy Southern and Northern Italian food at restaurants . Skokie, ill. contains both Jews and Muslims and they are not killing each other.

I worked on California freeways with people from Mexico, Appalachia, and , distantly, Africa. There was some attention., but we got the job done. Allen Kamp

Marco talks a lot, but does little. He is too full of himself and his pseudo intellectual rhetoric., while still being careful to kiss the ring and appease Putin. He has lost the way.

Civilizations aren’t universal but the product of specific peoples at specific times. Yes, Trump is a lying grifter but then so are most Democratic politicians . All of you seem to want incessant ‘wars for Democracy’ the world over and destructive neoliberal economic and social policies.

I recall reading an English translation of Caesar's Commentaries on the Gallic War many years ago. There's a part in the book where Caesar writes about condemning a number of defeated Gauls to "a fate worse than death." The editor helpfully noted that this was a reference to castration.
