START RIGHT NOW"

If Trump can rename cabinet positions, so can we. The Department of Homeland Security is now the Department of Domestic Warfare. After all, he told us, "The enemy is within."

Ernst Fraenkel's "Dual State: A Contribution to the Theory of Dictatorship" (1941) provided a vital part of the answer to the riddle of "how has this happened", asked by those who retroactively looked for indicators. But he was perhaps the only one to suggest that the operation of the legal system is an indicator.

A very important reminder of what is happening in this country. Spread this far and wideI The final lines of this reminds me of A. Solzhenitsyn's essay which I recommend: "Live not by Lies", i.e. state propaganda.

It had been: “It’s The Economy Stupid.” - Now, “It’s The Elections Stupid.”

Everyone needs to keep their eyes on the ball: ICE IS AIMED AT SEIZING ELECTIONS!

All voters including conservatives inherently understand that Freedom and Elections are one and the same. With the border closed, shouldn’t all people be informed (MESSAGED) of the real plan: “ICE Is Aimed At Seizing Elections!” ??

(Voting behavior/turnout, equipment, results, and therefore, the midterms and elections thereafter.

Everyone - and those in prominent media need to voice the IMMEDIATE ALARM: “Ice Is Aimed At Seizing Elections!!” - and Do it REPEATEDLY!

Pam Bondi just told us this. Will people listen?

Everybody engaged needs to remind them.

Who has been "executed"?

That is a bizarre statement. As if we cared whether you read it or not.

Your profile is essentially empty-no activity-no posts-no likes-and you read nothing on Substack--- so I am pretty sure you are a troll. At least you have a troll's profile.

LOL! It isn't nearly as intelligent or articulate as a bot.

It’s because of people like you that we are in the situation we find ourselves. Keep hiding your head in the sand.

People like what?

The entire article ignores the root cause and is aimed at symptoms, like vilifying the opposition without keeping Democrats accountable for CAUSING the uprising opposing ICE and Trump, and worse inciting and encouraging the public to act illegally.

WTF did you think was going to happen with politicians urging the public to resists?

And how is that any different than when The Left accused Trump of inciting his followers to resist on J6 2020?

All the Left swinging media has done since 2016 is malign Trump unfairly and perpetually while ignoring their own flaws and faults.

The article ignores the facts that

1) Dems were RESPONSIBLE for flooding the country with illegals simply to spite and make life difficult for Republicans

2) Democrats are in favor of keeping ILLEGAL people in the country regardless of the consequences against citizens

3) The general public is rioting against law enforcement ILLEGALLY

4) Democrat politicians are spurring on this rebellion against law enforcement just as they did during the BLM riots

5) That citizens opposing law enforcement in heated situations can lead to disastrous consequences.

How do the Dems respond instead?

Resist harder. Incite more. Obfuscate the narrative.

The shootings CAN be tragic and they can also be prevented at the same time. Just stop being difficult with law enforcement and fight your battles in the courts, not the streets.

Every relationship is 50/50 and the Dems bear half the responsibility for these tragedies and no amount of gaslighting is going to change this.

They are literally dragging people from their cars, entering homes without a warrant and killing people for filming them. And you want everyone to just be good little boys and girls and hope that a court stops this madness? Have you looked at who sits on the Supreme Court? Fuck you!!! You probably would have been one of the group of people helping flesh out the Jews in Germany. I hope they come after you and your family you piece of trash. Stay off this Substack and go back to Truth Social you effing Nazi.

This is the exact rhetoric by the Left that has escalated the public's actions and have caused the division between both factions.

You have no idea who you are talking to, what this person believes or what I would do in a similar situation and yet you go full BLM rioter, become judge, jury and executioner and condemn someone outright who simply disagrees with you.

And I'll go further by saying that this is the single most prominent way to Identify people on the far left. Calls for violence to oppose simple conversation.

Good job in proving my point.

If you can't discuss the relationship and instead must attack the messenger, you've already lost a fair fight and are now cheating. May be better for you to throw up a white flag and maybe sit in silence and think up a proper reply.

I will admit that you got my ire up. I should not have gone after you or your family. That was wrong. However, you are on the wrong side of history and 25, 50, 100 years from now, people will wonder how the people of this country could elect a monster like Donald Trump not once but twice. His actions on January 6 and his pardoning of those people that injured police officers was it for me. And anyone who tried to explain that away was somebody I wanted nothing to do with. If you are one of those, then we have nothing else to talk about. If you are one of those who feel it was Renee Good’s fault or Alex Pretti’s fault for being murdered, then we have nothing else to talk about. If you think it is ok for ICE or CBP to grab people out of cars, invade their homes without warrants, or deport them without due process, then we have nothing else to talk about. If you see that those things are a problem, then let’s take this private and have a conversation. The ball is in your court.

Just as nuance was removed from the SARS-Cov-2 discussion from 2020-2023, nuance is missing from most people’s partisan perspectives on this topic.

A good friend of mine explained to me what being "on the wrong side of right" meant a few years ago.

If I approach a crosswalk, and have the right to cross and traffic is supposed to stop, but I don't stop to look both ways and there is a car approaching, and that car strikes me, I may have been in the right, but I am on the wrong side of being right.

Folks, if a Law Enforcement officer tells you to stop and you don't stop, whether with your car or with a gun in your belt, well you are entering a situation that makes officers raise their temperatures, and worse make them either look for threats or worse, feel threatened.

And if your car starts moving in the direction of the officer asking you to stop, or you are wrestling with officers and a gun is discovered unexpectedly (meaning you didn’t declare it), well that changes things very quickly and they can change faster than most people can think logically. It becomes a series of reactions.

How does an officer know if a car is going to swerve it’s wheels in the last second?

Or how does an officer know you don’t plan on using your weapon in wrestling match?

They don’t. They're not mind readers. They are trained to react to threats.

What these people SHOULD have been aware of before engaging, is that if an officer feels threatened, things will go south very quickly. Instead, they got heated and made bad decisions.

Nothing happens in a vacuum.

I am distraught at the situation. It's horrific. I'm a father and this anger and unrest terrifies me.

But I can tell you that I (or my kids) would never put myself in a situation where a Law Enforcement Officer would feel like their safety is begin threatened...unless it's a cause I am ready to die for, which I am not sure these two were prepared for.

There MUST be accountability from Dems, who have been inciting the crowd to anger and hatred, fomenting them to act, and telling them not to stop and the mainstream media has to stop fueling innocent people to run into the front-lines, with partisan propaganda or more will pay with their lives.

They are literally moving people like pawns in chess to sacrifice them into their opponents meat grinder.

Your comment does not respond to the substance of the article; it appears to be a generic list of grievances. You are, of course, free to have and express your generic grievances. I would suggest, though, that when you do so in the comments section of an article, you make an effort to respond to the substance of said article, at least parenthetically. Otherwise people might think you didn't even read the article before spouting off.

What we see—from lethal force to enforced impunity—is an abuse of authority and a hallmark of authoritarian governance. We will not be able to abolish ICE. We can disarm them without much trouble. We must move to disarm ICE. There is no logical reason for them to be armed. They are not ever shot at and if they were they should stop what they are doing and call the FBI, DEA, ATF or state and local police to take care of it.

This is an important framing: the switch from "law enforcement" to recognizing what we are seeing as a prerogative state working through linguistic cover. Your Ernst Fraenkel take gets at what I’ve been arguing about the plenary-power undergirding of ICE—it’s not a bug in the system, it’s the constitutional exception zone actually performing as intended. When enforcement is strapped to a vague doctrine of sovereignty instead of enumerated powers, “Minneapolis” isn’t an outlier but the predictable product of that incentive structure. The reflexive libel machine you propose — load and lock before any facts are ever even put into circulation — is how our state both protects its agents from responsibility even as it warns dissents that not only their bodies but also memory will be liquidated. We can’t retool our way out of exception-based enforcement architecture.

Perhaps we should label these armed gangs as Collectivos, as the are called in Venezuela...
