Thanks for the text. I hope you can read more about your writing topics by Barun Mitra. There are so many problems with democracy in India, such as politicians getting votes by providing alcohol, toilets, computers, and other stuff to voters. Not to speak about "vote a cast" rather than casting a vote. In my opinion, demoracy in India could improve by decentralization of politics as with civic initiatives, deliberative democracy, Gandhian models for community engagement and relations.
An incisive article that is spot on regarding the institutional minority persecution happening in India. Gives an insight into the US administration’s handling of this serious situation. While the US prioritizes its own interests, the Indian minority are being relentlessly stripped of their constitutional rights of religious freedom and practice.
Indian minorities are happily living their life of religiously ordained and doctrinated violence. When you want to know something, it is imperative to get a 360 degree perspective.
This article purports to be about how the Indians are mimicking China in minority persecution. Yet the article itself makes no mention of China's minority persecution or how it compares with India's. Also, a better and easier comparison is India's tolerance and openness towards minorities compared to the two islamic states of Pakistan and Bangladesh carved out of it for the sole purpose of ensuring a muslim majority in the state. They are ethnically, culturally and linguistically much closer and yet their minority populations have dwindled to mere single digit percentiles. For all the Indian intolerance their minority populations as a percentage have increased.
Not bad for a left wing-progressive site. Y'all waste a lot of energy sniveling about right wing-progressives. This essay is one of your more balanced essays.

Gandhian models are utopian. And, utopian is a myth.
How? People can organise themselves in decentralised communities and make local-level politics.

Trump and MAGA will take inspiration from that, and ironically it will affect Hindus in America.

The author doesn't know the ground realities. This is a disputed blog... completely contestible.
The main aim seems to be Hinduphobia. The Western lens of looking at matters that are related to India has failed everytime
