Hegseth and Patel are the most dangerous for our democratic institutions and Gabbard cannot be trusted with any intelligence. No allies will trust us again.

Some Americans thought Trump would not pick a cabinet like this. I have spoken with a few and they are concerned with why people like this would be selected in the first place.

It is important to know who will be leading our country's executive departments and agencies, in addition to what they intend on doing.

I don't understand why anyone is surprised. He more or less promised these kind of appointments during the campaign. His choice for Surgeon General who seems qualified is running into resistance from MAGA Republicans because she is "soft" on vaccines and is "out of step" with RFK, Jr.

If you don't understand this, then maybe you could get out a little and talk to more people. There are people who are in fact surprised by this slate of nominations.

I am sure you are right.

I never denied that there were people who might be surprised.

They are right to be concerned.

But I still don't understand WHY they are surprised.

What has Trump ever done to make them believe he would do otherwise?

Oh Donald did nothing to give that impression, some media outlets which I will not name here did though. The word "sanewashing" comes to mind. In addition, Google and Apple News have been remarkablely bad in keeping important things like the misdeeds of his nominees on their algorithmic radars. If you are already politically plugged-in, then it is shocking how little all of this has been relayed to the mass media public.

What is needed now most is not an attack on the winners of the election, it's a genuine, deep accountability for Liberals to figure out why they lost.

The general public sees through the veneer of political posturing and this sort of thing is just more of it. It is now only working against the Left.

It's time to do a deep dive into the lack of accountability and lies pushed by the Left, not more antagonism against the Right.

You will never regain the trust of the public without doing that.
