Dolly followed God's teachings, to not judge or control each other, but instead to take care of each other, to love one another, to choose to live by example as the way to change hearts and minds. I have no doubt there are selfish political calculations afoot with flags and statues and ceremonies, but Dolly would just smile and say to do the right thing. If the statue reminds us to do the right things in this world, I believe she would approve.
