It's also vital to point out that Carlson has since gone on to claim that "there is censorship everywhere" - which, while true in the most irrelevant and absolutist sense, is in fact a massive mischaracterization of reality in which "censorship" in the US means being denied the ability to have your ideas widely distributed by a private enterprise, even as "censorship" Russia means spending years languishing in prison and/or just being murdered in the street.

Carlson takes advantage of the freedoms he is afforded by his nation to mislead the citizens of same into the delusion that other nations, where he would not have similar freedoms, are somehow similar in their approach to the curtailing of speech. It's really important that the fact that we're talking about a difference in KIND and not in degree is what's on the table here and Carlson needs to hear from every honest source that he's absolutely full of shit and that we know that he's full of shit.

Very true.

Until the Bloated Yam, Xi, and Putin divide up the world between them, when Navalny will become an "unperson."

Great article. It's worth pointing out that all authoritarian regimes rob the countries they rule:

Political labels like "socialist" or "right-wing" really don't mean much when applied to autocracies. At the end of the day, all that matters is the autocrat and his cronies. Any political positions or philosophies are just empty posturing.

'Islamophobia is “a word created by fascists, and used by cowards, to manipulate morons.”'

I don't generally argue with anonymous trolls on the Internet (and will not endeavor to do so here) but a besmirching of Navalni with such labels can't go un-rejected.

He was a brave and noble man who - like all men - was not perfect and with whom reasonable people could disagree on many points - but he stood in defiance of Putin's evil regime and did so knowing that his life was in mortal peril. This is how he will be remembered, so long as every time trolls like you libel him with your drivel someone has the courage to rebut your nonsense and restate the truth.
