Why are the victims themselves not naming names?

Mere testimony isn't enough to sink the rich and powerful. The system has to actually put them under scrutiny, indictment, etc.

To be frank, it feels like Epstein is becoming a Democratic obsession. The Republicans pushed a narrative of millions of children disappearing, pizza shops, QAnon - seemingly based on alarmist Facebook posts from the aughts. Then Republicans pushed a conspiracy theory about Epstein's death. But now Ds are unabashedly hoping that the "Epstein files" will get rid of Trump for them. To be blunt, I think they hope that because it's so much easier than, you know, fighting. It's another way of hoping for a quick trick to solve Trump.

It will fail miserably. Trump holds all the cards. If he offers the evil Maxwell a pardon, she'll say anything, such as "every single person who came to the island was a Democrat, and every single powerful Democrat came to the island." And Democrats will have given this credence. This is a stupid, foolish game.

You missed the point of the article. The victims -- the children -- should be at the center of any argument about Epstein's crimes not the political consequences for any particular person on the list.

No, I get that, and I agree. And they're not at the center for either the parties, is my point. The article says this about Rs, and that's true, but it's also true for Ds, who think it's a trick for being rid of Trump. The difference is that Ds stand to be hurt more by this sort of cynical ploy than the Rs do.
